Protecting Yourself against Identity Theft

We have received two telephone calls in recent months from clients whose purses or wallets were stolen, along with credit cards, driver’s licenses and other documents containing valuable information.

In speaking with the victims, I heard the frustration and lack of confidence in knowing exactly what they should do to minimize the current damage and protect against re-occurrence is evident.

While the time and expense of such an occurrence is substantial, equally significant is the stress and feeling of vulnerability that the victim feels.

Below is a checklist that we put together to help you take charge of the situation should you become a victim of identity theft.
